After installation, the first launch takes four short steps: open the add-on, choose the language, create the first environment, and learn where to start from every following session.
Step 1 — Open Doc Regia
Open any Google Sheet → Extensions → Doc Regia → Open Doc Regia. This first spreadsheet is only used to launch the setup and can be deleted afterwards.
Step 2 — Choose the language
Click Language and pick Italiano or English. The language can be changed later from the configuration panel.
Step 3 — Create the first environment
The first-environment panel opens automatically. Enter the name of the environment — for example, the name of a department, a project group, or an institutional area.
Doc Regia creates the following structure in Google Drive:
- 📁 Doc Regia – [Environment Name] — main folder
- 📁 Projects — destination for projects and generated documents
- 📁 Archive — for archived projects
- 📊 Doc Regia — the dedicated spreadsheet to always open from now on
Step 4 — Always open from the dedicated spreadsheet
From the next session onwards, always open the Doc Regia spreadsheet inside the environment folder, then launch the add-on from Extensions → Doc Regia → Open Doc Regia.
💡 Tip: Each Google Sheets spreadsheet is one environment. On the Free plan you can have 1 environment with up to 3 projects.
Multiple environments
PRO and PRO Business plans support up to 5 environments, all sharing the same internal structure. Switch between them directly from the sidebar.
Next step: Activate a License or jump to Quick Start → Create your first project.
