How long does it take to generate a document?
Doc Regia runs an automatic hourly trigger that processes new responses once per hour. If you need documents immediately, use Manage generation in the Documents section to trigger generation manually — documents are ready in seconds for simple templates, or up to a few minutes for large templates with file attachments.
Can I generate PDFs instead of Google Docs?
Yes. When creating a project, go to the Folders & DOC tab and select Generate PDF. All documents for that project will be generated and saved as PDF files in Google Drive.
Can I use an existing Google Doc as a template?
Yes. In the Template tab when creating or editing a project, select Existing template and link your Google Doc. Enable Auto-fill from questions to automatically map your form questions to {{placeholder}} tokens in the document.
What happens if I delete the template from Drive?
If the Google Doc template is deleted or moved from Google Drive, Doc Regia will not be able to generate new documents for that project. An error will occur at the next generation attempt. To fix it, go to Manage template and link a new template.
