What is Doc Regia

Doc Regia is a Google Workspace add-on for Google Sheets that turns Google Forms responses into Google Docs or PDF files, automatically.

It runs inside the spreadsheet that collects the form responses and handles the full workflow: form creation, template design, document generation in Drive, and email notifications.

How it works

Each project in Doc Regia ties together three elements:

  • A Google Form — created or edited from the add-on
  • A Google Docs template with {{placeholders}} matching the form questions
  • A Drive folder where the generated documents are saved

Every new form response triggers the generation of a personalised document. Placeholders are filled with the submitted values, the file is saved to Drive, and — if enabled — notifications are sent to the team and a confirmation email is delivered to the respondent.

Document signing on returns

Doc Regia also allows the user to sign documents directly inside the add-on before returning them to respondents — useful for certificates, signed confirmations, and validated reports.

Privacy by design

All data — forms, templates, generated documents — stays within the user’s own Google account. Doc Regia uses the minimum permissions required to operate and has completed Google’s official OAuth verification.

💡 In short: Doc Regia is the bridge between Google Forms and Google Docs — collect information once, produce as many personalised documents as needed.
