Custom Text Fields and Language Switch

Custom text fields are not updated when switching language

Doc Regia’s interface adapts to your language preference, but the text you configure inside each project — such as notification email subjects and bodies — is saved directly to the sheet at the moment of creation. Changing the interface language afterwards has no effect on those saved values.

Why this happens

Project text fields are user data, not interface labels. Once written to the sheet, they belong to your configuration and are never overwritten automatically — by design, to protect any customisation you may have made.

Which fields are affected

  • Notification email subject and body
  • Sender name text
  • Any other free-text field you filled in when creating or last saving the project

How to update them

💡 Tip: open the project from the Manage projects panel, navigate to the Notify tab, update the text fields to the new language, and click Save. The sheet will be updated immediately and the new values will be used from the next document generation onwards.
