Document Generation Times

Document Generation Times

Doc Regia generates documents automatically through periodic processing cycles. The speed of generation depends on the complexity of the template and the amount of data contained in each response.

How processing works

Google imposes a 6-minute limit on each individual execution. Doc Regia handles this constraint automatically by splitting the work into multiple processing cycles. No action is needed: if the time or maximum number of documents per cycle is reached, the system stops and resumes exactly where it left off in the next cycle.

How many documents are generated per cycle

The number varies depending on the template complexity, data size, and the type of Google account in use. As a rough guide, each cycle can generate from 15 documents for the most complex templates up to around 40 for lighter ones. Google Workspace accounts have higher limits and can process more documents per cycle compared to Gmail accounts.

For more details on the differences between account types, see Google Daily Quotas and Limits.

What to do if generation is slow

  • Check that the automatic trigger is active from the System Status panel
  • If you have many responses waiting, it is normal for the system to need several cycles to complete: it is working on its own
  • If you need to generate documents immediately without waiting for the automatic cycle, you can use manual generation directly from the project panel: documents are created on click for the selected rows, and Doc Regia will work in the background, allowing you to continue using the other panels
