Surveys & Data Collection

Doc Regia can generate an individual summary document for each survey response — useful when every respondent needs a copy of their own answers, or when the collected data must be archived as formatted documents rather than raw spreadsheet rows.

The workflow

Step 1 — Create the project

Create a new project in Doc Regia. In the Questions tab, build the survey form with whatever structure your research or data collection requires: multiple choice, scales, grids, paragraph answers, file uploads, or any combination.

In the Template tab, you can use Auto-fill from questions to quickly generate a template that lists every question and its {{placeholder}} in order. Adjust the layout as needed — add section headers, explanatory text, or formatting — to produce a readable summary document for each response.

If your form collects file uploads, enable Include attachment links in doc in the Manage Template panel to include direct links to the uploaded files in each generated document. Disable it if you only need the files stored in the project folder without cluttering the document.

Step 2 — Distribute the survey

Share the form link with your target audience. Doc Regia generates a summary document for each response as it arrives.

Step 3 — Close and export

When the collection period ends, use Schedule Close to stop accepting responses. Then open Print & Download to export all documents as a ZIP archive for analysis or record-keeping.

💡 Tip: For surveys where respondents need a receipt of their submission, enable Email to sender in Sharing & Alerts. Each respondent automatically receives a link to their personalised summary document.
